Hemingboard lives up in your Mac’s menu bar, and can be called into action with a hotkey combination, or a click of the menu bar icon. Simply select a word in your document, webpage, iMessage, etc. and Hemingboard will supply a synonym, rhyming word, and pun based on the word.

We’ve been playing with the app all morning, and it works as advertised, supplying an exhaustive (thorough, thoroughgoing) number of options (actions, choices, selections) for the words we’ve selected (picked, chosen, elected).

While the app is usually $9.99, for today, Wednesday, May 25, 2016 only, it is free when you use the code: “KITTY” at checkout.but you can currently get 50% off when you use code “BRILLIANT” at checkout.

Visit the Hemingboard website for more information. Remember, the app is only for Macs running OS X 10.11 El Capitan, so don’t come to us when it doesn’t work on your OS X Snow Leopard installation.
