Griffin apparently is a believer when it comes to reports saying Apple’s upcoming “iPhone 7” handset will do away with the 3.5mm headphone jack in favor of Bluetooth and Lightning connected headphones, as they have announced the “iTrip Clip” 3.5mm to Bluetooth adapter.

iTrip Clip cuts the cable between your smartphone and headphones to deliver the ultimate in wireless freedom to listen and control your music.

No headphone jack? NO problem! – Don’t worry if your favorite smartphone doesn’t have the headphone jack. iTrip Clip connects your favorite headphones wirelessly to your smartphone or tablet using Bluetooth 4.1.

Set it and forget it: iTrip Clip reconnects automatically with your smartphone or tablet once properly paired.

Fingertip controls: You’re in complete control of your smartphone or tablet with iTrip Clip’s play, pause, skip tracks forward and backward and volume controls. Activate Siri, and make phone calls, too.

Their new accessory can clip onto a collar, a shirt sleeve, pocket, or purse. It can likely even clip onto your favorite body part, if that’s how you roll. (But don’t be too weird about it, OK?)

Griffin says the iTrip Clip’s 800 mAh Li-ion battery will give users up to 6 hours of talk time, and 180 hours on standby. And you can use the included 6.7-inch micro-USB cable to charge it via the handiest USB port or smartphone charger.

The iTrip Clip will run you a cool $19.99, and will be available sometime in September. (Isn’t there something else that debuts in September? I know there is, but I can’t quite put my finger on it…)
