The fourth beta seed of tvOS 10.1 – build 14U588 – is now available to developers. The beta includes the much-awaited Single Sign-On capabilities for cable users, and the “TV” app, which debuted at Apple’s October 27 event.

The new TV app is designed to aid users in more easily discovering new content across the numerous television and movie streaming apps that are available for the fourth-generation Apple TV. Single Sign-On allows Apple TV users to sign in once with their cable credentials to allow the access of all available live cable content.

tvOS betas are a bit more involved to install than beta updates for iOS and OS X. Users must connect the Apple TV to to a computer with a USB-C to USB-A cable, and install the update via iTunes or Apple Configurator. However, once a beta profile has been installed on the device, new beta releases are available over the air.
