The vehicle was announced via Nissan’s website on Tuesday. The car features Nissan’s exclusive e-Pedal, which allows drivers to control acceleration, deceleration and braking with a single pedal. A traditional brake pedal is also included.

The new Leaf also features ProPilot driving assist technology, which helps drivers maintain highway speeds, stay in their lanes, and perform parking and emergency maneuvers.

The new vehicle promises an underwhelming 150-mile range between charges, 40kWh lithium-ion battery. The automaker promises a longer range model next year. The auto also features a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is CarPlay compatible, only available on mid-tier models and higher.

The Leaf will go on sale October 1 in Japan, and will hit the U.S., Canada, and Europe markets in early 2018. Starting price is $29,990. However, customers will need to shell out $32,490 for the SV model that includes CarPlay.

Nissan is giving away an Apple Watch Series 2, or a GoPro HERO5 Black, or a Nest and Google Home Bundle, to customers who reserve their new Leaf online by January 22, 2018, and purchase the car by May 15, 2018.
