Spotify for iPhone Update Takes Advantage of iPhone X Display

The Spotify for iPhone app has finally taken advantage of the iPhone X’s taller display. While the app worked fine on Apple’s newest flagship handset, but didn’t take advantage of the device’s taller display. Instead, the app appeared to be “letterboxed” on the device’s screen.

What’s New in Version 8.4.28

We’ve now added support for the iPhone X.

The updated Spotify app doesn’t play any games with the “notch” at the top of the X’s screen, but it does look much better now, finally reaching all four corners of the display.
