New Apple Ads Highlight ‘iPad + Apple Pencil’

New Apple Ads Highlight ‘iPad + Apple Pencil’

A new series of four ads were published by Apple on Monday, highlighting the new 9.7-inch iPad and its compatibility with the Apple Pencil.

AppleInsider:

Currently available for viewing through Apple’s regional UK YouTube channel, the 12- to 17-second spots highlight unique Apple Pencil capabilities like image markup, drawing and writing, all features previously restricted to iPad Pro. Each video segment is set to the tune “Masterpiece” by NONONO.

Video one highlights the new iPad’s note-taking abilities. The ad shows a hand highlighting the words “Apple Pencil,” using an Apple Pencil on an iPad. A page of iPad and Apple Pencil related notes are then displayed, which were created in the  Notability app.

The second ad shows a user in the drawing and sketching app, Tayasui Sketches Pro. The ad demonstrates Apple Pencil’s input controls as the artist selects the app’s calligraphy brush tool, which allows line thickness to vary, based on tilt and pressure.

The third as shows off the Apple Pencil being used with iOS 11 and Keynote. A user shows off iOS 11 drag-and-drop capabilities on the iPad, which is used to insert a photo into a Keynote project.

The final ad shows off iOS 11’s markup feature, which involves taking a screenshot, adding notations, and saving and sending the image to other users via iOS 11’s share sheets.
