Apple has released a new series of 3 iPhone 4 ads, touting features such as the App Store , the integrated iPod, iTunes Store, and iBooks (and the iBookStore). The commercials basically tout Apple being the market leader in certain key areas, and the iPhone thus being more immediately useful.

iPhone 5 May Feature Same Design as iPhone 4

According to recent reports, the upcoming iPhone 5, which is expected to be released around June, may in fact use a very similar design to the iPhone 4. The rumor suggests that while the screen will become larger (and go edge-to-edge), the shape and form will remain the same.

Apple’s fantastic new AirPlay streaming technology now officially features its very own section in the App Store, recognizing the apps that have integrated an AirPlay-based feature. AirPlay is Apple’s technology used to push content from an iOS device to an AppleTV, enabling larger-screen content.

Phil Schiller Confirms White iPhone Coming This Spring

iPhone 5 To Gain A5 Processor?

Developers have found some new code in the official release of iOS 4.3 that suggests that iPhone 5 will feature the same new processor as the iPad 2. 9to5Mac reports that three separate versions of the iPad 2 are listed which represent the various formulations of the iPhone 5 (Wifi, GSM, CDMA).

GarageBand and iMovie Available Now, iPad Personalized Setup

Apple has issued a press release this morning reminding us that iPad 2 will go on sale tomorrow, and lists the times that the iPad 2 will become available, and that iPad 2 purchasers will be offered personalized setup in-store. The release indicates that iMovie and GarageBand will also be available today.

Apple has today released another update to it’s iOS platform: iOS 4.3. The 4.3 update includes a number of features and enhancements, such as an enhanced JavaScript engine, Personal Hotspot for AT&T users, enhanced AirPlay functionality, iTunes Home Sharing, choice of how to use your lock switch on an iPad, and message alerts.

According to a report from 9to5Mac, Concord Security Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims that the white iPhone 4 will at last enter production this month, and will be due for an April 2011 release. The white iPhone 4 was originally to be aired alongside its black counterpart, but was famously delayed again and again.

Verizon iPhone 4 Unlocked For Use With Other Carriers

According to OSXDaily, the Verizon (CDMA) iPhone 4 has now been unlocked in the US, allowing usage of the new iPhone as a prepaid phone. Cricket stores are reportedly performing the unlocking service for a fee of $125, enabling iPhone 4 use on either Cricket or MetroPCS networks.

Rumour mill gets going on iPhone 5

Fresh rumors from Japanese site Macotakara.jp (citing Chinese sources) claim the iPhone 5 will have an aluminum back case akin to the iPad. The antenna will be redesigned too, so that signals (3G, wifi, etc.) will be sent & received through the plastic Apple logo on the rear of the case.
