Documents made public yesterday claim U.S. and UK intelligence agencies are retrieving personal data sent by mobile apps during mass surveillance sweeps. Rovio’s popular game, “Angry Birds” was mentioned as one of the apps targeted by the agencies.
A new report from The New York Times says the U.S. National Security Agency specifically looks for data sent by mobile apps in order to capture personal data on surveillance targets.

Rovio and Lucasfilm have confirmed that a sequel to the popular Angry Birds Star Wars game will be launched around the world on September 19. The game will follow the story of the three prequel Star Wars movies.

Just in time for a nationwide holiday in the United States, Rovio has released a major update to its mega-popular Angry Birds app. The update brings a new mode called “Egg Defender,” as well as 15 new levels, and “73 crazy pig contraptions” brought over from the Angry Birds spin-off, “Bad Piggies.”
Fair warning, Angry Birds creator Rovio has a new game on the way. The game developer, who is teasing the upcoming game on a new website that features a bird slingshotting down a path, says the game is unlike its standard Angry Birds titles.
Rovio Account lets you store your game progress and continue playing on another device.
