Verizon iPhone Has Significant Limitations (Don't Blame The Hardware, Blame CDMA)

According to a report from 9to5Mac, the Verizon iPhone has a number of curious limitations that might make it difficult to use in a business environment.  Among the limitations are an inability to make a conference call involving more than 3 people (including yourself), inability to switch between concurrent phone calls, and inability to hang up on just one person in a conference call.

On first glance, these issues might seem like design flaws in the Verizon version of iOS or even hardware issues in the new handset.  9t05Mac took a closer look, however, and determined that these issues aren’t due to Apple hardware or software, but rather these and several other issues are due to technical limitations of the CDMA wireless network that Verizon’s current iPhone service is based off of.  Just one more thing to think about considering making the switch.  My advice?  Wait for LTE implementation on the iPhone.
