Analysts Think Apple sold between 5 to 9 Million iPads

Apple can’t meet the demand for the iPad 2. But how many iPads did Apple sell in the quarter that ended on Saturday? According to 30 analysts polled by Fortune that figure ranges from 5 million to 8.8 million sales. The average figure was 6.26 million.

The quarter that ended on Saturday only included two weeks of iPad 2 sales in the US and two international days of sales. Quarter 2’s findings for iPad 2 sales should prove to be very interesting especially considering that approximately 500,000 units were sold on the iPad 2’s opening US weekend. We will probably have to wait until April for official sales numbers from Apple for the iPad 2.
