Download a $0.99 App, Donate $0.99 To Efforts In New Zealand

There seems to be a growing outreach of support from various venues towards relief efforts in New Zealand. Even blogs and other media venues are doing what they can to reach out with support. For instance, the upcoming technology site TheMacFeed has agreed to donate all proceeds from their paid app store app to the relief effort.

TheMacFeed’s ad-free app, called TheMacFeed Gold, is available for $0.99 in the App Store, and in addition to directly supporting the Red Cross relief effort in New Zealand, the app also provides valuable reviews, technology-related news, and informative opinion pieces. In short, it’s an ad-free and optimized way to view the site’s content on your iDevice.

I’d urge those of you that can to download the app – not only is it a valuable source of information for only a dollar, but it supports a good cause, and perhaps more importantly, it represents an important stepping point, namely, organizations using their resources for something besides mere profit.

Check out the App Store link for more information.
