Prevent Accidentally Closing Google Chrome Through Shortcut

The guys over at MacStories posted a very helpful Chrome tip (originally posted on Mac OS X Hints).

Everyone hates accidentally closing apps. Especially browsers. “Arrgh, lost tabs” or “Arrrgh, I was typing a really funny reply to that LOL cat picture” are two common screams that I can be often heard bellowing.

Within Google Chrome you can add a prompt that alerts and asks if you want to close the browser when you use the shortcut CMD+Q. Pressing CMD+Q again will confirm the closing of Chrome.

To activate this feature, type “about:flags” (without quotes) into the address bar in Chrome and then activate “Confirm to Quit”.

Happy quitting!
