iPad Arcade Cabinet: April Fools Joke now a reality, backordered

What started as an April Fools joke by ThinkGeek is now a reality – and sold out.

ION Audio has partnered with ThinkGeek to make the iCade, an old-school video arcade cabinet iPad controller, a reality. In fact, it was such a compelling idea, that Atari partnered up and made Atari’s Greatest Hits for the iPad to be compatible with the controller as well.

James first bit into Apple when his mom and dad bought an Apple IIe in 1986. He switched to Wintel in the mid 90s when Apple was in a tailspin and back again to an iBook in 2005 when things were looking brighter. Hopefully there is no turning back to the dark side now.
