MobileMe is down, what’s brewing in Apple’s cloud?

There are reports that MobileMe and .me email addresses are down. What is Apple brewing? A free MobileMe service with Dropbox-like functionality? Hopefully.

Let us know if your MobileMe service is down. I can’t check because I stopped using it long ago. If Apple can make it useful and valuable, I’ll gladly pay for the service again.

James first bit into Apple when his mom and dad bought an Apple IIe in 1986. He switched to Wintel in the mid 90s when Apple was in a tailspin and back again to an iBook in 2005 when things were looking brighter. Hopefully there is no turning back to the dark side now.
