Punk band records album entirely on GarageBand for iPad

Well the inevitable didn’t take long. Punk band The Ultramods have recorded their album Underwear Party entirely on an iPad 2 with GarageBand, including vocals. It’s part of their experiment to “never produce a physical copy” of the album.

The band are self-described “pervy pop punk and technologically obsessed new wave” so make sure granny and the kids are out of the basement when you crank this one up, in case you didn’t gather that already from the title. The track Kilkenny Square is relatively safe and one of the few without the explicit tag.

Available now on iTunes.

James first bit into Apple when his mom and dad bought an Apple IIe in 1986. He switched to Wintel in the mid 90s when Apple was in a tailspin and back again to an iBook in 2005 when things were looking brighter. Hopefully there is no turning back to the dark side now.
