Australia, New Zealand Low On Snow Leopard, Lion Coming Soon?

There are reports coming in from retail associates in the South Pacific that Snow Leopard boxes are in short supply, and they’re having problems ordering more. Could this mean the Lion will hit stores soon? We consider it likely.

Even Apple’s website is showing a week’s wait in those areas. Typically, these types of sporadic displays act as an indication that boxes are no longer being produced, hence channel inventory is drying up.

This could point to a Lion release as early as WWDC (June 6-10), and we are optimistic that this is the case. The latest developer build, Preview 3, has been largely stable and free of major problems.
