Payment Processing App Square Gets Major 2.0 Update

Square, the trendy mobile payment company that lets you use your iPhone or iPad to accept credit cards using its trendy white plastic reader, has launched a major new version of its iOS app, offering legions of new features.

Square 2.0 brings a new interface (and fairly snazzy at that), and a complete new design on the iPad. These UI enhancements seem to have been the main focus of the update, although minor bug fixes are also included.

From the changelog:

– iPad: Arrange your items into shelves, for easier browsing and faster checkout.
– iPad: Small, medium, large; chocolate, vanilla, strawberry – create variations of your items.
– iPhone: Refined look and feel.
– Minor bug fixes.

Square 2.0 is now live in the App Store.
