iPhone 5 Could Launch On AT&T, Verizon, And Sprint All At Once

While everyone is impatiently awaiting the alleged fall arrival of the next-gen iPhone (Possibly iPhone 4S), likely alongside iOS 5’s release, a surprising report from our source suggests that the new iPhone might have a concurrent launch across all networks – and come to Sprint in the US.

Sprint would become the third US carrier to gain the iPhone, leaving only one major carrier, T-Mobile USA, behind. Sources report that the Sprint iPhone is in advanced testing in Apple’s internal laboratories, which some call the “black labs”, and is reportedly also being tested at Sprint’s research and development department.

The new device reportedly looks the same as the iPhone 4, and is reported to be capable of modern 3G standards on Sprint’s network, but no mention was made of any sort of 4G support, likely reflecting weak LTE adoption by networks at this point, and Apple’s decision to postpone LTE in the iPhone.

The new iPhone will be a singular “world phone” device capable of running on all network, and our source reports that it will indeed be labelled as the iPhone 4S.

Sprint users: What are your thoughts? Would you go for the iPhone if it was available to you as a Sprint customer? Sound off in the comments!
