Singapore Is Now Providing iPads To Their Army And Navy Recruits

According to a report from PhysOrg.com, Singapore will soon be issuing iPad 2’s to all their new armed forces and navy recruits. They expect to distribute about 8,000 iPads to their servicemen, which will run custom apps, and be used for training, as well as uploading video and images.

The program is expected to start in November. In Singapore, all able male citizens must serve 2 years in the military – considering that fact, Singapore’s population could soon see a very significant boost in iPad 2 adoption!
