Twitter Unveils New Search and Integrated Photo Sharing

Twitter has just made searching from their web app more feature-rich by showing relevant photos and videos and will eventually offer integrated photo sharing through their partner, Photobucket.

The new photo service, which will be released over the next several weeks, will allow photo posting directly from twitter.com and eventually via MMS. The company will partner with mobile phone networks around the world to allow photo uploading via text for users without smartphones. Finally, Firefox with Twitter has #hashtag and @username search enabled from within the address bar.

Now if Twitter usurps SMS by integrating into iOS 5, their social messaging domination will be complete.

James first bit into Apple when his mom and dad bought an Apple IIe in 1986. He switched to Wintel in the mid 90s when Apple was in a tailspin and back again to an iBook in 2005 when things were looking brighter. Hopefully there is no turning back to the dark side now.
