Sprint Could Begin Offering Pre-Paid iPhones In October

Sprint has not even gotten the iPhone on their network yet, but rumors are already suggesting that Apple may be preparing a pre-paid iPhone to be offered through Sprint US in October.

Virgin Mobile, who are owned by Sprint, have announced that they will begin throttling their unlimited data plans. This follows a report from earlier this week that AT&T will be raising the price on their iPhone insurance plans, also in October.

According to the report, this change suggests that Spring is also making plans for a pre-paid Apple handset. Personally, I don’t think this argument adds up, but it makes for some interesting speculation at any rate!
