Apple Holding Overnight Meetings Ahead Of Wednesday Lion Release

Need yet another compelling reason to think that Mac OS X Lion could launch tomorrow, June 20? According to reports, Apple is holding an employe overnight at Apple Retail Stores tonight, presumably in order to prepare for the launch.

The stores have apparently already received large tubes of posters and display materials, and each store has been sent a Mac Pro pre-loaded with Lion, which the purpose is not yet known for. Further, Apple Retail Stores have already received hard drives loaded with the GM seed of Lion to use as imaging drives to install Lion on all display Macs.

It’s also possible that new MacBook Airs, Mac Minis, and new Thunderbolt-enabled Apple Cinema Displays could be launched at the same time, which could make for a very exciting day at Apple tomorrow!

What will we see happening at Apple Retail Stores tomorrow? Could it really be Lion? New MacBook Airs? The truth is that nobody really knows, and we’ve heard these rumors before – still, there’s enough compelling evidence out there to get excited over that I’d frankly be surprised if something exciting didn’t take place.
