Google Testing New Search Layout On Tablet Devices

Google rarely roles out changes across the board. Instead they make changes on a per device basis that might spread a few weeks before they are universally available. Last month Google introduced cosmetic changes to their search results pages for web browsers.

Screenshots posted by Digital Inspiration show a revamped search page for tablet devices.

The changes bring the web browser look and feel to tablet devices. Google’s lack of design aesthetic has been a running joke ever since, well, Google began. Thankfully all their services seem to be getting a new lick of paint for the better.

Google is using a selective approach to rolling out the revamped and trimmed down search results pages. When I accessed Google.com on my iPad I was presented with the common design.
