Upcoming Apple Hardware To See International Price Cuts

It has been a common frustration among international Apple customers that customers outside of the US often pay more for their merchandise. According to reports, however, that may be about to change as Apple cuts its international pricing.

With the news that MacBook Airs, Mac Minis, and white MacBooks may get updated tomorrow along with the release of OS X Lion, this news (if true) could not come at a better time for many customers. According to the report, each new Apple model will see significant price drops, although exact amounts could not be determined.

There are a few factors at play here: First, the US dollar has sunk in comparison to many other currencies within the past year, and Apple does have a prior history of adjusting their pricing to reflect currency fluctuations.

Further, Apple’s been streamlining their global operations for a number of years, and has now gained the ability to bring its overseas prices more in line with US prices, as they can now ship and retail international products much more efficiently and less expensively.

It’s important to point out that, while great for international customers, the price drops very well may not apply to US customers, as the adjustment is being made to compensate for a pricing inadequacy that already exists between US currency and other currencies.
