Apple Highlights Apps That Are “Enhanced For OS X Lion”

Apple’s new OS X 10.7 Lion has been out for less than 30 days, and Apple is now starting to promote apps that take specific advantage of some of Lion’s new features by placing them on the front page of the Mac App Store.

Apple is now including an “Enhanced for OS X Lion” tag on banners that are optimized for Lion-specific features such as Full-Screen, advanced multi-touch gestures, Versions, etc.

The new banners can be seen on the Mac App Store’s front page, in the top section (which currently features Touchgrind and Screenflow 3.0), as well as in the lower section, where promotional images for Fantastical, Scrivener, and Swackett X currently lie.

I’d imaging that Apple creates a specific new category in the near future for apps that specifically support new features in OS X Lion.
