Apple May Have Leaked iPhone 5 Design In Latest Photo Stream Beta

A new icon surfacing in Apple’s latest Photo Stream beta reveals an especially interesting icon that seems to look like the often-rumored iPhone 5, featuring an extended screen and an elongated home button.

It’s possible that this is just a coincidence, but given its presence in a widespread Apple beta, coupled with the fact that rumors have been suggesting an iPhone 5 that looks like this since April, I’d be surprised if this little nugget doesn’t hold some meaning.

This iPhone 5 design was first rumored by ThisIsMyNext in April of this year, and later design schematics and various cases have backed up the rumors. What are your thoughts – coincidence or revelation?

Update:

AppDated.de has provided a better and clearer picture of the iPhone 5 icon:
