Apple To Hold Media Event On September 7th – Possibly To Announce iPhone 5

Apple is rumored to be planning a media event for Wednesday the 7th of September to launch the 5th generation iPhone, that’s according to Japanese based news site Kodawarisan who also claim that Apple will announce a fresh lineup of iPods at the event.

MacRumors contacted Kodawarisan to verify their source and claim  the info is coming from a “source in the know”.

What the iPhone 5 may look like

Apple typically holds a September media event to announce new products and with no iPhone 5 announcement during the summer, it is almost a banker that the September event will reveal the much anticipated iPhone 5.

Adding more fuel to the fire is the below screenshot sent into us from a UK based reader of MacTrast that shows a conversation between our tipster and an O2 customer service agent. The  rep from the UK based telecoms company informed our reader to expect the iPhone 5 during the first week of September (this conversation took place 3 days ago).

Mark the 7th of September in your diary and draw a picture of an iPhone 5 next to it!
