Those of you that have seen the amazing images of Apple’s forthcoming spaceship-like campus (popularly nicknamed “The Mothership“) already know that the campus is beautiful, and with a capacity of around 20,000 people, we also already know it’s extremely large. A curious observation from TMO, however, reveals that the new campus will, in fact, be larger than the US Pentagon!
The below image shows Apple’s new campus overlapped with the Pentagon to put the matter in reference. The diamater of the new campus was measured to be around 1615 ft, granting it a radios of 807.5 ft. The Pentagon, on the other hand (which is currently the world’s largest office building), has a diamater of 1566 ft and a radius of 783 feet. That will officially make the new campus the world’s largest office building when construction completes in 2015.
While there are any number of clever remarks that could be made about Apple’s future space ship being larger than the Pentagon – the center for the US Department of Defense – I’ll leave that to you. In the meantime, just keep checking out these amazing images. Perhaps one day you’ll find a Golden Ticket in the box of your iPhone 7 and be invited to take a tour!
