It’s Official – Apple Is Now The World’s Most Valuable Company!

Following our recent report suggesting that this might happen, and the news that Apple has more money than the US government, Apple has now surpassed Exxon Mobil in Market Cap to become the most valuable company in the world!

For a company that was founded in a garage, and which many speculated was dying just one decade ago, Apple has come an extremely long way. While the markets are still open, and both companies are still fluctuating, Apple now (at the time of this writing, 1:57 PM MST) has a lead over Exxon Mobile of greater than $6 billion.

Congratulations are in order for Apple, their shareholders, and everyone who loves their products! The announcement will be formalized if Apple continues their lead at the end of the day – and its unlikely that they will fail to do so.
