New Start-Up Aims To Bring Real-Time Multiplayer Gaming Between iOS And Android

Now that the iPhone and Android share many common apps, and particularly games, it’d be nice for us iPhone users to be able to challenge our Android fellows with some wireless multiplayer action. If a new Austin, TX-based startup is successful, we may see just that.

Digital Harmony Games plans to develop a method to allow many different smartphone or tablet platforms to play games together in real time. although there are currently very few games that will allow this option.

The below video shows how Digital Harmony Games’ solution works. The company plans to release their first cross-platform game in early 2012, and then begin licensing their technology to other companies.
