Apple Releases Firmware & Software Updates For Thunderbolt Display

Now that the Apple Thunderbolt Display is officially out and about, with shipping times at 3-5 business days and customers already receiving early orders, Apple has released a pair of Thunderbolt updates to bring Snow Leopard compatibility with the new display and provide other minor improvements.

– Thunderbolt Display Firmware Update (923 KB):

This update improves the stability of the Apple Thunderbolt Display.

The updater application will be installed in the Utilities folder inside the Application folder and will be launched automatically when you close this installer.

Please follow the instructions in the updater application to complete the update process.

– Thunderbolt Software Update (Snow Leopard) (65.48 MB):

This update provides support for the Apple Thunderbolt Display and bug fixes for Thunderbolt device compatibility.

The Thunderbolt update for Snow Leopard requires Mac OS X 10.6.8 to install.
