Canadian Carrier Rogers Texts Customers About Next-Gen iPhone Reservations

Canadian wireless carrier Rogers has begin issuing text messages to its wireless customers to remind them that Rogers has a reservation system, and granting the option to be notified as soon as next-gen iPhone reservations become available.

As iLounge reports, at least one customer reports receiving the following message on their iPhone direct from Rogers:

As a valued customer, we want you to know that we have the Rogers Reservation System. This means you could be one of the first in line in Canada for the next iPhone as soon as it’s available! Reply YES to be notified when the next iPhone can be reserved.

The message also includes a link leading to a Q&A page about the reservation system. It’s not clear if Rogers is sending these out to all customers, or only iPhone or smartphone customers, but every indication seems to point to Rogers preparing themselves for iPhone reservations in the near future.
