Rather than cashing in on your out of date PS3 and Xbox games, you can now ship your old iPhone at your nearest GameStop.
The video game retailer is now in the market for buying old versions of iPhones, iPods, and iPads. iDevice owners that have left over gadgets will receive cash and/or credit in return for pawning their unused or out of date gear.
Michael Pachter, a research analyst with Wedbush Securities is enthusiastic about the size of the second hand refurbished market. “This thing about taking in used Apple products is a gigantic business. What’s the market for a fat, white iPod? Well, that market is in Latin America.”
As of yesterday, GameStop’s 6,582 stores will offer you cash/credit in exchange for an iPad, iPhone, or iPod.
