Report: Sprint To Offer iPhone 5 With Unlimited Data In Early October

Sprint users hoping to get an iPhone 5 may be in store for some very good news. Bloomberg reports that Sprint will not only offer the iPhone 5 next month, as previous reports have suggested, but will offer an unlimited data plan to go along with it.

Sprint’s offer of unlimited data service plans will distinguish them significantly from AT&T and Verizon in the US, both of whom have eliminated their unlimited data pans in favor of tiered data pricing.

Sprint is the US’s third-largest wireless carrier, and will likely be the only US carrier to offer the device with unlimited data (unless T-Mobile gets the iPhone, as reports have suggested, and offers unlimited data as well).

No details are no about the pricing of Sprint’s unlimited data plan offering, but it will likely be priced similarly to AT&T’s $30 unlimited data offering before it was discontinued.
