Skype For iOS Gets Updated With Bluetooth Support

Skype released an update for their native iPad app (App Store Link), as well as their iPhone/iPod touch app(App Store Link) yesterday, bringing full support for bluetooth headsets and fixing a recent discovered security hole that could put your personal information at risk.

Other added features include image stabilization and support for emoticons in text chat. Unfortunately, the update also displays advertisements for all users that do not have Skype credit in their account.

The update is available immediately through iTunes. For those of you that haven’t yet tried Skype for iOS, it is a free download and is available for the iPhone & iPod touch (App Store Link), as well as an HD version designed for the iPad (App Store Link).

Check out the new image stabilization feature in Skype’s clip, embedded below. You can find more information on the update over at the official Skype blog.
