White “iPhone 4s” Appears In AT&T Internal System

A listing for a white “iPhone 4s” has appeared within an internal AT&T system, reports Engadget. Many expect Apple to release a second, cheaper iPhone model alongside the iPhone 4, possibly targeted at pre-paid customers.

The “iPhone 4s” name is similar to the naming scheme of the iPhone 3Gs, with the lowercase s denoting speed. The listing appeared in a customer care-related listing, and may simply be a placeholder, so it’s not clear whether or not the listing denotes any actual device.
