Adobe Announces Photoshop Touch, 6 New iPad Apps

Adobe made a few announcements yesterday at their MAX conference, notably that they’ll be releasing a new tablet-enhanced version of their popular image editing software called Photoshop Touch, expected to arrive on the iPad in early 2012.

Adobe also announced five other new tablet apps for release around the same time, each which will sell for an “introductory price” of $9.99: Adobe Collage, Adobe Debut, Adobe Ideas, Adobe Kuler, and Adobe Proto

The apps are being released on the Android platform sometime next month, with the iPad version expected in early 2012. The new Adobe Touch apps are part of a new cloud-based initiative for Adobe, and will all use cloud services to enhance their functionality. Files created via Adobe Touch Apps can be shared, viewed across devices or transferred into Adobe Creative Suite software for further refinement.
