Following Apple’s big announcement of the iPhone 4S, Apple has begun seeding the Gold Master for both iOS 5 and OS X 10.7.2 to developers. Both updates are expected to become publicly available by October 12th.
The Gold Master is the final shipping version of a program provided for developers to update their apps before the software becomes available to the public. The iOS 5 GM carries a build number of 9a334, whereas the the OS X 10.7.2 update carries a build number of 11c72. Both updates can be downloaded at the Apple Developer Portal.
