AT&T iPhone 4S Pre-Orders Hit 200,000 In First 12 Hours

AT&T has seen extraordinary demand for Apple’s new iPhone 4S, which became available for pre-order early yesterday morning. Reuters reports that AT&T processed over 200,000 pre-orders within the first 12 hours, becoming the network’s most successful launch of all time.

Last year, Apple announced that they saw 600,000 iPhone 4 pre-orders on the first day across all carriers in the US, France, Germany, Japan, and the UK, setting a new first-day record for pre-launch sales.

With AT&T alone experiencing 200,000 pre-orders in the first 12 hours, there’s little doubt that the iPhone 4S will go down as being Apple’s most successful launch yet.
