Biographer Walter Isaacson To Discuss Steve Jobs On ’60 Minutes’

According to the 60 Minutes team’s Twitter account, Walter Isaacson, the man who wrote the official biography of Steve Jobs, will be making an appearance on 60 Minutes to discuss his upcoming Steve Jobs biography, which is called, simply, “Steve Jobs.”

Isaacson is the only author to ever get approval from Steve Jobs to write a biography, and was granted access to Jobs’ friends, family, and co-workers, as well as Steve Jobs himself. Isaacson spent several months collecting interviews and materials for the book.

The 60 Minutes special is set to air on CBS on Sunday, October 23 at 7 p.m. Eastern, 4 p.m. Pacific. Isaacson’s biography of Steve Jobs is due for release on October 24th, and will be available on Amazon as an e-Book ($16.99, link) or a hardback volume ($17.88, link), or through the iBookstore in iTunes ($16.99, link).
