iPhone 4S Is The First Phone With Bluetooth 4.0 Support

While the specs listed on Apple’s iPhone 4S page list that the iPhone 4s has Bluetooth 4.0 support, a new report from Bluetooth SIG reveals that it will be the first phone ever to support the new standard.

Bluetooth 4.0 includes a new standard called Bluetooth Low Energy that can allow for many new kinds of bluetooth-connected devices, as well as having lower power consumption and a much greater range than previous versions of Bluetooth.
