New Cards App Allows You To Physically Mail Greetings From Your iOS Device

Among the unexpected things that Apple announced the iPhone media event earlier today was a new app called Cards – an app that will allow you to create greeting cards and letters on your iPhone & iPad and physically mail them anywhere in the world.

After you design you card, you simply send it to Apple, who will charge $2.99 to mail your creation nationally, and $4.99 to mail your letter or card anywhere in the world. Cards will be available for free from the App Store on October 12, and will be launched alongside iCloud and iOS 5.

You can find out more about Cards at the site Apple created for the new app.
