(Video) Happy 10th Birthday, iPod! Watch Steve Jobs Introduce the First iPod In 2001

Steve Jobs has been on many of our minds a whole lot recently. He was a man with vision, a man with passion, and a man who never backed down from his dreams.

The iPod was introduced exactly ten years ago today, and is one of the most important inventions of Steve Jobs’ life. Steve Jobs and the iPod were both revolutionary, and have one thing in common: they stood out above their peers, and changed the way we viewed the world.

Ten years later, the iPod still has no true rival, has changed the music industry as we know it, and has evolved, bringing us such things as the iPod touch, the iPhone, and even the iPad.

Happy 10th birthday, iPod. You made a dent in the universe that will not soon be forgotten. Watch the embedded clip below to see Steve Jobs introduce the very first iPod in 2001.
