Apple Retail Chief Ron Johnson Leaves For JC Penney

Having announced in June that he would be leaving Apple in November to become CEO of JC Penney, Ron Johnson has officially left the Cupertino company, and his bio has been removed from Apple’s website.

Johnson is well known as the chief visionary behind Apple’s wildly successful retail stores, having created the first Apple Store and Genius Bar shortly after joining the company in January of 2000. Apple has yet to announce his replacement.
