New Best Buy Ad Says They’re The Place for Apple Products

A new ad has been released by U.S. retailer Best Buy promoting themselves as the best place to buy Apple products (rather than the Apple Store, of course).

The ad shows a blue shirt demonstrating FaceTime on an iPad and MacBook Pro to a woman, who states, “That is so cool! I didn’t know you guys had all the Apple products!”

The blue shirt replies, “I guess Santa better watch his back.”

A following scene shows Santa Claus as he begins to place gifts under a family’s tree, he then notices the variety of Apple products already under the tree. The lights come on, and Santa sees the same woman, sitting in a chair next to the traditional milk and cookies. She picks up the milk and drinks it, as a title is shown proclaiming “Game on, Santa”.

“All the hottest Apple gifts, and the professionals to help, at Best Buy” says a voice-over announcer, as the iPad, MacBook and iPhone are displayed. The Best Buy logo is displayed, with the line: “Everything Apple. At Best Buy”.

It’s been my experience that Best Buy is a great place to go if you know exactly what you want, and are willing to gamble on it being in stock. But, if you need any questions answered, or want to have an informative demonstration of features, there’s only one store to go to… The Apple Store.

i dont think that normal people can afford apple products so this ad is a bit pointless…

LOL that makes no sense whatsoever, maybe you can’t afford them, but the iPad is “THE” Best selling tablet there is, the iPhone is one of “THE” most popular smart phones, the MacBook line is “THE” best selling portable amongst college students. So your statement is a bit pointless lol.

I’m a “normal person” … I have an iPhone, iPad and MacBook Pro. My Dad who’s just a regular guy with a old beater car and lives a simple life has a Macbook and iPhone. Buying an Apple product isn’t much far off from buying another company’s computer or product. Last I saw, a Samsung Galaxy Tab was $600.

Apple employees and Best Buy employees are the same. 90% of them have worked for each company and switch back and forth.

Best Buy can be ok for a deal, just make sure you remember to buy Apple Care when you get home since they don’t’ sell it, don’t know about it, and insist on signing you up for their geek squad B.S.
