iOS Traffic Share Climbs To Nearly 62% On Strong iPhone 4S Sales

New web traffic data released by Net Applications shows that iOS has risen considerably in browser market share, and now claims an impressive 61.64% of all worldwide traffic from mobile devices.

The USA traffic share for iOS devices is slightly higher, at 63.16%, with Android coming it at second place with 18.90%. The increase in web share can largely be attributed to Apple’s very successful release of the iPhone 4S, as well as their lowering of prices on the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4.
