Man Repeatedly Calls 911 To Complain About His iPhone, Promptly Gets Arrested

We all know technology doesn’t work perfectly all the time, and it can be frustrating when your gadgets don’t work right, but calling 911 because your iPhone doesn’t work is going a bit far. That didn’t stop one 48-year old Bristol, Illinois resident, however, who was arrested after calling 911 five separate times to complain about his broken iPhone.

The Smoking Gun reports that, according to the official police report, Kendall County police traced the calls to the man’s home, where he was arrested when he refused to yield to the officers. The man was charged with resisting a police officer, but was not charged with impeding emergency personell by making the phone calls.

Skopec was stone drunk when officers found him, but even so, its unclear what he thought the officers might be able to do about his broken iPhone. Moral of the story? Don’t use the phone when you’re drunk.
