There’s a fascinating new Google TV app in the Android market called Airtight, reports 9to5Mac, which brings limited AirPlay features to Google TVs, allowing users to steam movies to the unit directly from their iOS device.
Although the app does show some potential, it falls short of bringing full AirPlay support. For instance, it doesn’t support mirroring, music or DRM protected video, although it can still receive non-protected video directly from an iOS device.
While the app is limited in its current state, the developers are said to be working on ways of building the rest of AirPlay’s functionality into the app – at least until Apple finds out and knocks the wind out of their sails.
