Apple Hires Well-Known iOS Concept Designer Jan-Michael Cart

Apple has officially hired designer Jan-Michael Cart, reports iPhoneinCanada, who is well-known for his iOS concept videos, such as a unique system for implementing widgets (seen below), dynamic icons, and more.

And like that, my time has come — I am now a member of the Apple community. I will still update my website with random small portfolio additions. I will also open up the blog portion of my website to document my day-to-day happenings in Cupertino. Stay tuned!

Cart’s videos, many of which focused on notifications, make Cart the latest hire in a string of recent interface and notification focused designer hirings by Apple, including Peter Hajas, the developer of the MobileNotifier jailbreak package, who was hired earlier this year.

A collection of Cart’s videos can be found below – hopefully Cart will be able to bring some of his design vision into Apple’s future interfaces!
