Apple’s Siri advert, featuring Santa, has been named the best ad of this holiday season by analysis firm Ace Metrix, GigaOM reports. The ad depicts Santa using Siri to find out the weather and directions.
The ad managed 652 out of 950 points, which was 8% higher than other tech brands. “It’s cute and funny”, Ace Metrix CEO Peter Daboll stated. Humor definitely played a part. The last few seconds of the ad show Santa being told he has 3.7 billion appointments.
The analysis was conducted with what the CEO claimed was “representative of of the U.S TV viewing audience”. Best Buy won the most effective ad award, with it’s “Game on, Santa” campaign.
